Working At USC

Information about university events, campus safety, on-campus food venues, banking options, mailing services, and most anything else about campus news and services can be found on the USC Employee Gateway. Information about university benefits, including tuition assistance and tuition exchange, can be found on the USC Benefits site.

Dual Careers

For faculty who are considering employment with USC, questions about employment opportunities for your spouse or partner should be directed to your department chair, dean of faculty, or other designated point of contact within your department or school. More information can be found here.

Faculty Mentoring

The University of Southern California is committed to the development and growth of its faculty. Each school is responsible for developing and implementing faculty mentoring programs. The university also recognizes excellence in faculty mentoring through the annual USC Mellon Mentoring Awards and maintains a list of previous recipients by school.

Community Outreach

Throughout its storied history, USC has placed a high value on being a good neighbor—and on programs and projects that have a positive impact on surrounding neighborhoods. Our commitment to community-building can be seen at every level of the university. It encompasses the participation of our research facilities, individual schools, departments, and programs, as well as our hospitals and health centers. USC Civic Engagement supports and promotes more than 400 community initiatives in our local neighborhoods.

Organizations for Faculty

There are a number of organizations that faculty can join to find a community of like-minded colleagues to help them get immersed into the life of the university and Los Angeles.
