I find mentoring a two way process in which both parties gain a lot of benefit. I greatly treasure the insight and opinions of the talented colleagues that I have. By giving them my time, feedback and advice and debating issues with them I find myself benefiting and improving in various ways. This has incrementally increased our unit’s clinical as well as academic productivity and most importantly helped forge rewarding professional relationships. Seeing the encouraging results of this process will no doubt help continue this trend of mentorship and collaboration.
