BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

To facilitate the process of getting new faculty settled in advance of their arrival, the university has created a special status to provide new faculty with early access to many university services, including wireless accounts, principal investigator set up, libraries collections, benefits selection, and classroom setup.

EARLY ACCESS (EACCESS)

Acquire Your USC Username and Gain Access to University Systems:

  • Return your signed offer letter to your school or department administrator and complete an eAccess Authorization Form

  • You can be set up as early as 7 months before your start date.

  • Upon completion of your early set-up, you will be contacted by your school and notified to complete a “first log in” to get your USC username and 10-digit ID prior to your arrival. These two pieces of information are necessary to access university systems and processes such as getting your USC ID card, signing up for parking, and completing human research subjects protection training.

Alternatively, you can go to USCard Services located in the Parking Structure X building on the University Park Campus or HSC One Stop Express in Seaver Residence Hall on the Health Sciences Campus.

SIGN UP FOR USC BENEFITS

You must enroll for benefits within 30 days of your start date. Information on starting your benefits can be found on the USC Benefits site.

SIGN UP FOR PARKING OR COMMUTING ASSISTANCE

You will need your 10-digit ID to create an account and purchase your parking permit or purchase your monthly transit pass through USC Transportation.
